The Union Flag is the official flag of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. It is also called the Union Jack. The flag consists of three crosses: the cross of St George, the cross of St Andrew, and the cross of St Patrick. St George is a patron saint of England, St Andrew is a patron saint of Scotland, and St Patrick is a patron saint of Ireland. But it doesn’t have an official Welsh flag because Wales was already in England when the Union Flag was created in 1606. The Union Flag shows England, Wales, Scotland and (Northen) Ireland.
